
KidzSize Active Adventure offers youngsters an awesome holiday experience that provides a wide range of exciting and challenging activities, all set in a beautiful natural location and run by experienced people you can trust. Your child can choose to join us for the day or residential camp experience, both offering a fulfilling multi activity holiday programme like no other;
Who is the Active Adventure Holiday Camps for?
The camp experience is available to youngsters aged 8 to 14 years old of all experiences and abilities.
When do the Active Adventure Holiday Camps run?
The camps currently run during the school Easter and Summer holiday periods. KidzSize Active Adventure Break Out is situated on a well maintained camp and activity site in the Bedfordshire countryside, which consist of a deep wooded area which opens up onto a large playing field and camp site. It has a safe and warm bunk house, dining hall, shower and toilet block and indoor activity hall.
What activities are included in the Active Adventure Holiday Camps?
Each of the five days consists of a specially designed themed programme including;
The Matrix Challenge Day
An awesome day of team building and problem solving challenges; the first part of the MATRIX consists of the participants taking part in a series of tasks in which they can collect ‘time tokens’ ready for the MATRIX challenge. Part two is when the participants compete head to head playing the MATRIX board, moving from the start to the finish by getting moves for completing micro tasks set outaround the woods
The Wild Survival Challenge Day
Participants are given sessions in how to best survive in the wild, involving shelter building, camp cooking and fire building. They then have the task of discussing and deciding each others fate in ‘who will survive’ before completing our survival
orienteering course to collect their resources to enable them to build their team camps.
Hot Shot Challenge Day
The day consists of participants taking part in a series of activities where they are required to ‘hit the target’ to take their group to victory. Activities include archery, rifle shooting, cross bows and giant sling shot. The ‘Hot Shot’ challenge day is a great way to test hand – eye coordination through some of our most popular activities.
Monkey Mania Day
The ‘Monkey Mania’ day combines a wide range of activities where participants are
required to be off the ground as much as possible. Basic bouldering, low ropes and an up and over activity challenge course are some of the activities included in this exciting day where trust, communication and supporting others are core skills

Adventure Strategy & Tactical Day
Groups take part in military role play to plan and carry out a series of different missions, where they will be challenged in leadership, organization and communication. Incorporating our ‘Battlefield LIVE’ state of the art gaming guns this high octane activity will provide participants with an experience like no other.
The evening activities for those on the residential option will also take part in night line, a range of sports, Battlefield LIVE night operations, boards games, camp fire with songs and story telling and plenty of free time fun for making new friends.
Tell me more about the Active Adventure Holiday Camps programme?
The Day Camp operates between 10.00am and 4.00pm for five days. Youngsters will work in groups of similar ages and have opportunities to participate in all the activities that take place. The camp can only be booked on a full five days basis due to limited spaces.
When attending the day camp only, youngsters will need to provide their own lunch, drinks and snacks.
The Residential Camp starts at 9.00am on the Monday morning and the young people stay with us until 5.00pm the following Friday. They will have the option of staying in tents or bunks, or for the really adventurous even in their own shelters that they build (weather dependent), over the four nights.
During the day they will follow the same programme to that of the day camp, joining the day campers for activities. During the evening they will take part in additional activities including a well supervised camp fire and BBQ, a trip to a local swimming pool, art and craft projects, board games, combat gaming and much more. We will provide the young people with a healthy balanced diet throughout the week, suitable to their dietary needs, which they will choose from our menu.
Who will look after the young people during their stay at Active Adventure Holiday Camps?
KidzSize Active Adventure aims to ensure all the young people attending our day and residential camps have the best experience possible.
This is achieved through caring supervision of them; each youngster has a camp leader who is with them on site for the week. Specialist instructors will come in to deliver many of the activities and there is always a senior member of staff with overall supervision of the camp. Ratios never exceed one adult to twelve children.
